Installation

Tools: Same tools as for commercial rate PVC tile or PVC sheet vinyl installation.
Adhesives:
acrylic water-base releasable adhesive and/or double-side tape (> 2" width)

1.

On concrete slab, hard surface sub-floors

Site plan and installation same as PVC tile installation.

  1.2

Adhesives: releasable adhesive is recommended. At entrance and heavy traffic area, apply adhesives throughout the sub-floors. Installation on pvc tiles, wood, ceramic, marble, and etc., if requested not using adhesive, double-side tape installed 60~120 cm o.c. under joint seams of Actiles.

On Access Floor

on inter-lock bare access floor

 

Laying the tile: Actile shall be installed to avoid its joint seam in line with joint seam of access floor panel. This means Actile's center shall be strategically positioning on top of angles of the floor panels.

2.1

on inter-lock access floor
2 inch width (or wider) double-side tape attaching along mid of panels, at 2 or 3 floor panels (120 or 180 cm o.c.) per strip both ways. (see drawing at right)

2.2

on Low-Profile access floor with cable trenches
Releasable adhesives to brush at center of the access floor panel (about 10 cm width strip), or double-side tape (> 2 inch width) attaching at floor pane's’ central line at distance every 2 to 3 panels per strip. Center of
Actile are strategically positioning at junction cap (central cap) of cable trench. And seams between Actiles are adhered at adhesive strip along center of the access floor panel. (see drawing at right)

 

 

Perimeters: Along the perimeters, applied releasable adhesive or double-side tape to secure bonding of Actile at all perimeters. (see picture at lower right)

3.

For renovation

   
  3.1

on concrete or hard sub-floorings
Old carpet tile: shall be removed.
Old PVC tile, hard floors: shall be securely bonding to the concrete slab or sub-floors. (
see 1)

 

retrofitting on old HPL access floor, using double-side tape.

  3.2

on HPL access floor
Scratched, or worn-out HPL, shall be securely bonding at the access floor panel. Loosing trimming strip shall be bonded. Installation methods same procedure as
2.1

  3.3

on interlock access floor
Remove old carpet tile. Installation same as
2.1

  3.4

on low-profile access floor with cable trenches
Remove old carpet tile or other old floors. Installation same as
2.2
